Gabriel Castilleja, FNP, is a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, born and raised on a local ranch in Laredo. He attended Finley Elementary and graduated from United High School in 1999. Following high school, Gabriel worked as a Certified Pharmacy Technician for 5 years, laying a solid foundation for his future healthcare career. 

In 2003, he earned an Associate Degree in Nursing from Laredo Community College, becoming the first in his family to earn a college degree. In 2013, he graduated from Texas A&M International University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. As a Registered Nurse, he spent over 12 years in the Intensive Care Unit of Laredo Medical Center, serving in various roles including staff nurse, charge nurse, open heart nurse, open heart nurse educator, and ICU nurse educator. In 2007, he was honored with the Nurse of the Year Award by Laredo Medical Center. 

In 2015, Gabriel graduated from Texas A&M International University with a Master of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner. He has since been seeing inpatient and outpatient patients for the past 8 years, working alongside Dr. Ricardo Cigarroa, a local Internal Medicine/Cardiologist. 

Outside the clinic, Gabriel is a sports enthusiast, engaging in activities such as cycling, target shooting, archery, and running. He competes in Road Cycling and Mountain Bike Cross Country races across Texas and has volunteered as a local basketball coach for the past 17 years. A lover of nature, Gabriel spends his free time gardening and enjoys occasional travels and outings with his family. He is happily married to Anna Mae since 2005, who is also a Family Nurse Practitioner, and cherishes moments with their two sons, Darren and Garret, and their daughter, Alexis.
